Laine Happel MA Ed.S LPC

Laine Happel is the owner of Modern Wellness and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Laine received an Undergraduate Degree from University of Rhode Island in 2006 and received a Masters degree in Counseling from Seton Hall in 2012

Laine has been in the mental health field for over 15 years. Throughout her career she has worked with families in crisis as the Director of the Family Crisis Intervention Unit for the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County from 2011-2016. Laine has been seeing individuals, couples and families in private practice since 2016. She continues to provide advocacy and education for Suicide Prevention through being a certified trainer in the Lifelines Curriculum. Laine continues to help support local and national efforts to spread awareness about mental health and end stigma through her consultant role with the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County.

Laine started her own practice in 2018 and focuses on incorporating an eclectic approach to counseling. Modern Wellness is reflective of our ever-changing opinions about mental health and hopefully a continued decrease in stigma surrounding asking for help. Laine believes every human can benefit from therapy through self-reflection to live a more fulfilling, happy life.

Laine lives in Monmouth County with her husband, two children, a dog, and cat.
